Welcome to the website of the European Down Syndrome Association

The objective of The European Down Syndrome Association (EDSA) is to promote the complete development of persons with Down syndrome, regardless of racial, linguistic, religious, philosophical or political considerations.

EDSA seeks members from all the countries of Europe, whether or not they are in the European Community at this time. EDSA promotes international conferences around Europe and it makes a priority of helping countries with less well developed services for individuals with Down syndrome.

First announcement and call for abstracts:

An International Congress on Down Syndrome will be held in Pula (Croatia) on October 11-14, 2007.

The Congress is organised by the Down Syndrome Center Pula, EDSA Office Croatia, in cooperation with the Association for Down Syndrome Zagreb with the sponsorship of EDSA.

   News & events

The preliminary program of the International Conference organised by the French Associations, a.f.r.t. et  f.a.i.t 21, in collaboration with EDSA for the World Down Syndrome Day 2007.
As  you can see, it is dealing with up-to-date topics for Down syndrome.
